UTSA have dropped their series to No. 14 Rice falling in the finale 11-2 as Rice dominated the game at Roadrunner Field on Sunday afternoon.

Michael Aquino drew all the headlines as he went 4-for-5 including a Grand Slam at the top of the ninth as a rampant offense destroyed the Roadrunners.

It took a while for the run scoring to get started for Rice as they opened the scoring in the third as Ford Stainback hit a triple, bringing home the run, before being brought home himself thanks to a Keenan Cook Sacrifice Fly.

With the bases loaded in the fifth, UTSA managed to pull a run back as Jesse Baker managed an infield single to bring RJ Perucki home.

The sixth saw a score in each half-inning as an Horacio Correa III error allowed Leon Byrd to score a run before a CJ Pickering triple allowed Logan Kinger to score making it 3-2 after six.

That was as good as it got for UTSA as the wheels fell off for the Roadrunners from there on, giving up an RBI single in the seventh through the infield gap.

In the eighth Aquino continued to hurt UTSA as he hit an RBI double to plate an unearned run and see the Owls up by three runs with just 1.5 to play.

The ninth was a complete disaster for the Roadrunners as Rice were able to hit six runs and push the score-line to 11-2.

With the bases loaded Aquino crushed UTSA spirits as he hit a Grand Slam Home run which brought four home.
