The WWE website has confirmed several legendary wrestlers for their retro episode of WWE Raw, which airs tomorrow night on the USA Network. Among the notable grapplers set to appear are "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, "Million Dollar Man" Ted Dibiase and the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. This will be Flair's first WWE event back since he made an appearance a couple months ago during the WWE Slammy Awards. During the surprise appearance, Ric Flair had an in-ring segment with main event performer CM Punk. Since then, The Miz has been using Ric Flair's patented figure four leglock as his finishing maneuver. One can assume that Flair will have some interaction with The Miz on Monday night.
Despite the retro "old school" gimmick the WWE will present tomorrow evening, the show is largely being regarded as a throw away show. Not that the television series will be uninteresting, but fans shouldn't expect much in the form of a build-up to Wrestlemania 29. Although there has been some soft rumors that the Undertaker would make an appearance tomorrow night. nothing has been confirmed. Furthermore, The Rock, who is one half of the Wrestlemania 29 main event, is not scheduled to appear.
This is not the first time the WWE has rolled out the "retro" theme for one of their television shows. Both WWE Raw and WWE Smackdown have done these type of events in the past. The shows never bring a boat load of surprises, but they are a nice trip down memory lane for long time WWE fans. WWE Raw can be seen every Monday night on the USA Network.
