One of the greatest wrestlers of all-time, Ric Flair will be inducted into the WWE HOF for the second time, making him the only wrestler to receive this honor. Flair was inducted in 2008 and gave a passionate speech that had the entire audience teary-eyed. Flair will join Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, Barry Windham and JJ Dillon as representatives of the elite wrestling group known as the 4 Horsemen. According to a Sunday January 15th report by the PostandCourier.com, Ric Flair made the following comments about his second WWE HOF induction:
“It’s amazing. It’s very cool. The whole TNA crew was watching the vignette. I started crying when they aired it. They told me I could only talk seven minutes. We’re going to blow the roof off."
Flair's 2008 speech lasted over an hour, and I fully expect that he and the rest of the Horsemen will push the envelope on time constraints in March. Too bad this HOF ceremony wasn't in North Carolina, a state well known for their love of the Horsemen as it was often referred to as "Horsemen country".
By all accounts, TNA has been supportive of Flair and will not stand in his way to attend the ceremonies. Last year, Flair attended the WWE HOF ceremonies to support Shawn Michaels and his induction. For more on the Post and Courier's report, click here.
