Rhythm of the Dance is the creation of composer Carl Hession, choreographer Doireann Carney and producer Kieran Cavanagh. In the tradition of Riverdance and Lord of the Dance, the show brings Irish dance and music to the stage. The story follows the sequence of Irish history from the most ancient mythology and clans to the immigrants to New York City featuring lead dancer Nicola Kennedy and an extremely talented cast of more than 20 dancers, 3 tenors and an army of musicians.
Reviewer Simon Lewis calls Rhythm of the Dance "a legion of glamorous young dancers who radiated joy, strength and enchantment." The current rating on Ticketmaster.com is 4.4 out of 5 stars with audience members saying the show is "fun," "amazing" and "worth seeing."
