Heather Dubrow admits that she comes off quite defensive on the latest season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County." There's a very good reason for that. As she explained in an interview with OK! Magazine, posted on Monday, April 28, Heather said that she was defensive because the other housewives, in particular Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney, were constantly negatively talking about her and she felt excluded by them.

When asked why she seems to be on the defensive so much this season, Heather agreed that she was on the defensive. She explained that she felt that she was talked about a lot when not around. She points out that when someone is saying things about you that aren't true, you do have to defend yourself, so it's not so much about being defensive than it is just simply defending yourself.

Heather also hinted that her friendships with some of the other ladies on the show aren't always worth the trouble. She said that at some point you do have to re-evaluate friendships and realize that if you have to defend yourself so much to certain people, then perhaps those relationships aren't right. She admitted that she had some issues with Tamra Barney earlier on in the season, which were made worse by the influx of new housewife Shannon Beador and Tamra's always-close relationship with Vicki Gunvalson. Heather said that she felt excluded from that group.

As for Shannon, Heather said that she thought they would be good friends but it didn't exactly turn out that way. Thankfully, at least Heather has Lizzie Rovsek. Heather's face lightened up and she smiled as she spoke about new housewife Lizzie, who she revealed she shares a mutual friend with outside of the show.

In their own interview with OK! Magazine, Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney again poked fun of Heather Dubrow for being what they considered too prudish and conservative. Tamra agreed that Heather is a lot more opinionated this season while Vicki griped about Heather being chosen as the housewife who gets to stand in the middle for the opening promo shot.
