“The Real Housewives of New York” star Aviva Drescher may have shared every detail of her horrific childhood accident while filming the fifth season of the show, as everyone heard the story of her getting stuck on a conveyor belt and having leg amputated as a result. However, she hasn’t put her fitness struggles on hold. According to a new Bravo report published on Oct. 8, “The Real Housewives of New York” star Aviva Drescher is now revealing that she runs to get her personal time into her day as a stay-at-home mother.
"Until the age of 26, I couldn’t really run much because I had an awkward amputation at the ankle,” she has revealed. “I had another amputation at the knee and then I was able to run again, using the right prosthesis.” On the show, the cameras followed her around as she was bathing her children, staying at home and lunching with her friends. So, getting out of the house to go running is her escape.
“Running is a really great time just for myself to get away from it all, once in a while—and plus, you always feel great after a good run!” she said. "I love running because it's always a half an hour of 'me time.' When I’m running, there’s no working, no filming and no cameras. Although a lot of it is fun, filming can be such a chore." Are you surprised that she is running to get her personal time in?
