If you missed the Real Housewives of New York City Season 6 finale on Tuesday night (July 22), have we got a recap for you!
If you're waiting to watch the episode on your DVR, you may want to skip the episode spoilers below - but trust us, you're missing out. We couldn't make this stuff up if we tried.
During a heated argument with Heather Thomson and new girl Kristin Taekman about her much-debated asthma diagnosis on the July 22 episode of RHONY, Aviva Drescher took her fake leg off and slammed it on the table. "This is the only fake about me!" she screamed has she made the dramatic gesture.
Just before throwing her leg down, Aviva had tossed her bundle of medical records at Heather, telling her to take them home to review them if she didn't believe her condition was real.
The issue really began several episodes ago when Aviva told the girls about a recent asthma diagnosis and her doctor's recommendation that she not accompany them on a group trip to Montana planned by Kristen. Since that time, the women had been gossiping about whether Aviva was faking her condition and saying she was really a hypochondriac.
But no one expected her to rip off her leg and cause such a scene in the middle of dinner at Le Cirque.
"I'm going to throw up," Kristin said, rushing from the table.
"No, I'm sick of being called fake! I'm sick of it," Aviva said before then throwing her leg across the dining room in front of a crowd of bemused onlookers.
Carole Radziwill retrieved the leg for the enraged blonde amputee, telling her, "Aviva, you need help. This is not okay. You need help."
Aviva did have one supporter, though. "I would throw my leg if I could, remarked the always flamboyant Sonja Morgan . "I'd throw my other leg, too. Those girls kept pushing her."
For her part, Lu Anne de Lesseps was outraged at the dramatic display.
What do you think: is Aviva Drescher crazy? Were the other girls pushing her too far? Give us your take in the comments section below.
