The current battle on "The Real Housewives of New York City" seems to consist of Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and Aviva Drescher on one side and Heather Thomson and Carole Radziwill on the other, leaving Kristen Taekman and LuAnn de Lesseps in the middle. This may be surprising for many viewers since it was only last season when Aviva angrily lashed out at Ramona and Sonja, even going so far as calling both of them "white trash."
On Thursday, April 17, Ramona answered a fan who questioned why she and Sonja are defending Aviva despite the "white trash" incident a year ago. Ramona tweeted back that she has certainly hasn't forgotten what Aviva said about her, nor will she ever, but that it's "bigger to forgive." On Saturday, April 19, Sonja chimed in on the issue. In addition to retweeting a fan's tweet that the incident happened one night a year ago, she reminded everyone that Aviva apologized for her behavior and declared that "it's over!"
Ramona didn't always have such a forgiving attitude towards Aviva. On the premiere episode of "The Real Housewives of New York City," viewers saw how she was reluctant to be friends with Aviva again and had already decided to write her off. Yet she was persuaded to forgive Aviva by Sonja, who has always played the show's peacemaker.
Sonja and Ramona have certainly sided with Aviva in recent episodes despite what happened in the past. In one recent episode, viewers saw how Sonja and Ramona decided at very last-minute to not attend Heather's tenth anniversary party out of solidarity with Aviva, whom Heather chose not to invite. Heather's problem with Aviva began when Aviva accused her good friend Carole of using a ghostwriter. Only time will tell whether the blonds, Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer and Aviva Drescher, will continue to be united against the brunettes, Heather Thomson and Carole Radziwill, by the time the reunion comes along.
