On “The Real Housewives of New York City” another incident of violence was showcased for ratings on Tuesday night. Ramona Singer threw a wine glass at Kristen Taekman in the water and cut her lip. The moment had fans who watch Bravo thinking about “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” fight that had two cast members pulling hair. According to US Weekly on Wednesday, the glass throwing moment drew blood from Taekman and the star was quite upset.

The cast members who work for Bravo are able to attract the headlines by getting into physical altercations and it’s making viewers realize that these women are out of control. People don’t throw punches, wine glasses or grab hair in real life. In fact, when people don’t get along they typical ignore invitations to hang out with other individuals they find unsavory (yes, we are talking about Ramona Singer.)

According to Reality Tea on Wednesday, the set up for this altercation had viewers hearing Ramona carry on about her dislike of The Berkshires. Instead of not coming, it was an ongoing complaining moment, complete with wine. And then something bad happened.

This reminds fans of what NeNe Leakes hinted about Bravo’s intent on the “Housewives” series. After the altercation on the set of her reunion show, Leakes posted on her blog that she was “put in provoking situations all season.” Suggesting that there was a hope she would respond negatively on camera, the star seemed to point at Bravo’s antics of getting people excited up to do something bad on television.

While a little screaming is fun to watch, drawing blood should definitely be past the line as it is unacceptable. Bravo needs to stop giving the stars the headlines to be bad. It’s not socially appropriate and in the real world, it’s called assault. Plus, it is becoming a reason to stop watching the show as nobody is interested in seeing blood unless they are sitting ringside at a boxing match.
