“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice may be standing behind her husband throughout this entire legal debacle, but it sounds like he is realizing that he doesn’t want her to spend years behind bars. Teresa has revealed that she doesn’t understand the charges brought against her, and now he is trying to save her. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on Jan. 20, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice’s husband is now trying to create some distance between himself and her so she can get off the hook for his legal mistakes.

Even though he has been accused of cheating on her several times, he is now trying to create some distance between them so he can take the fall for their legal issues. He plans to tell the courts that Teresa had "no knowledge of any alleged criminal activity in relation to the 41 counts of federal fraud against the couple and wants to testify to that effect. But only if he gets a separate trial,” a source has revealed.

Of course, many speculate that Joe is at fault for all of the charges because she knew very little about the couple’s finances until they filed for bankruptcy. She then went to work and tried everything to make money for the family. But the additional charges came afterwards, even though the fraud charges are linked to events prior to the bankruptcy.

"The hot-heated TV husband also wants the prosecution to provide access to the grand jury transcript 'in order to determine whether grand jury abuses led to his indictment'," reveals the source, adding, "And, last but not least, he wants a separate hearing to review all “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” takes and outtakes that attorneys plan on using against him to determine their 'audibility and admissibility'."

Do you think his plan will work?
