“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice may be smiling in the many pictures that she is posting on her social media pages and when she does appearances, but she is dealing with some serious issues behind the cameras. Last month, her husband and herself were indicted on 39 counts of fraud and they could be heading to jail for many years. They haven’t really spoken out on the drama, but Giudice sat down with Andy Cohen after the season finale last night. According to a new Bravo report published on Sept. 30, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice is now revealing that she is not hiding.
“I still want to keep working," she revealed to Cohen during an episode of “Watch What Happens Live.” “And I just hope that the other women on the cast have the same respect and give me the respect because if this was happening to them, I would give them that respect.” Giudice wants to be the one speaks out about it, adding, “I am not crawling under a rock and hiding. That's not me. I am still going to be the person who I am today and the day I go to court, when we resolve this, everyone will see who Joe and I really are. I am not just running away.”
She claims that the respect could be shown if her brother and friends didn’t speak out about her legal issues on the show. She could share what she wants to share, but she doesn’t want it to be the focus of the show. "I can't speak about legal issues," she said. "I don't want them jumping down my throat, like, 'Why aren't you telling me this?' Nothing can be discussed, the only person I can discuss anything with would be my attorney."
As for Joe’s defense, he says that he never lived "beyond our means...Whatever I could afford to buy, I would buy. We work hard, so what, we are allowed to make money. It's part of what we do. I'm a business man and I make money." What do you think of Giudice deciding what from her trial would be shown on the next season of the show?
