“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe Giudice have been charged with 41 counts of fraud last summer. Over the past six months, she has been preparing to head to trial. The couple could be facing 50 years in jail. The couple are facing charges, such as conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud. According to a new Radar Online report published on Feb. 12, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice has supposedly asked a judge to move up her court date so she can get her trial started.
Teresa’s lawyer has filed a letter to push up the court date. “As of now, the motions’ potential impact on the trial schedule, we respectfully ask the Court to consider moving up the hearing on pretrial motions to the earliest time convenient for the Court to hear the motions and render a decision,” the letter requested.
It is questionable why Teresa would want the trial pushed up. Joe hasn’t been cooperative in this entire thing. “He has provided false testimony under oath on multiple occasions,” one section read. In addition, prosecutors asked the judge to force Teresa and Joe’s lawyers to hand over “photographs, books, papers, documents, data, photographs, tangible objects” relating to the case, which they have not done yet.
The judge has yet to decide on the trial.
