“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Melissa Gorga has just released her book, “Love Italian Style” and the book seems to have been an eye-opener for many. On the show, she is always talking about how her father was the one who supported her singing career. In the book, she opens up about his cheating and how his behavior may have threatened her marriage once. According to a new Radar Online report published on Sept. 26, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Melissa Gorga is now revealing how her father’s behavior with cheating almost affected her own marriage with Joe.
“He was a great father and a great teacher,” she writes in her book. “As a husband, not so great.” In the book, she talks about how her parent’s marriage taught her “that men aren’t reliable. Even when you love them as hard as you can, they cannot always be trusted.” So, when she got married to Joe Gorga, she was questioning his whereabouts.
Even though she is the one being accused of cheating, she was actually the one worried when she first got married. “I would still get suspicious about Joe, despite his seemingly loyal behavior,” she reveals. “…If Joe said he was going out on a Sunday morning to do estimates on properties, I’d always question it in my mind. My father was a builder too. He used to say the same things to my mother. And then we wouldn’t see him until Tuesday.”
Of course, the two had several talks and it sounds like they worked out their issues. In fact, they seem to be going strong with their marriage now, as they are nearing their 10-year anniversary.
