‘RHONJ’ star Melissa Gorga defends not spending last Thanksgiving with Teresa

“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Melissa Gorga and her husband showed up in Jamaica over Thanksgiving weekend. Many were surprised that they left New Jersey to celebrate the weekend rather than spending time with Teresa Giudice and Joe, since they are facing jail time and potential deportation. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on Dec. 3, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Melissa Gorga is now defending why she went to Jamaica for Thanksgiving instead of staying home with her sister-in-law, who could be going to jail soon if she is found guilty of 41 counts of fraud.

Melissa reveals that they went to Jamaica because they never spend Thanksgiving together. "We honestly haven’t spent Thanksgiving together," Melissa says. "We try to do Easter and Christmas with them." And it sounds like they prefer going away. "Joe and I usually go away for Thanksgiving or spend it with my family," she adds. "We went to Jamaica last year, too."

It sounds like Joe and Melissa are not changing their plans, just because Teresa is facing legal issues and Joe could be deported to Italy for his poor business decisions. What do you think of Melissa and Joe going away?
