“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Jacqueline Laurita may not have gotten along with Teresa Giudice at the end of season four, because of the drama that went down throughout the last couple of episodes, but it sounds like she should be careful of how she takes out her frustration with her former friend. When it was announced that Teresa had more than $11 million in debt and was filing for bankruptcy, many of the housewives who bashed her often told her to “focus on paying her bills.” However, one should not throw stones if that person just so happens to live in a glass house. According to a new TMZ report released on Mar. 2, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Jacqueline Laurita is struggling to pay her bills herself. She reportedly owes upwards of $340,000 in tax bills.
According to the report, the NJ Division of Taxation is coming after Jacqueline after they filed a tax lien against her. She has been on the show since the first day, but somehow she forgot to pay her taxes with all the extra money coming in from Bravo. It appears she owes exactly $338,337.05. While it may not be $11 million, she does have some debt which could make her look like a hypocrite for going after Teresa, even if she just made small digs at the reunion special last year.
Jacqueline will have to pay up soon, or the state could go after her assets. And with her husband filing a bankruptcy over his clothing company just a few years ago, it appears that the Lauritas could benefit from an accountant. Are you surprised that Jacqueline owes money?
