On Feb. 2, news that "RHONJ" has one less housewife in the real sense of the word hit the Internet because Dina Manzo has split from Tommy, her husband for the past seven years. According to Hollywood Life, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star split from the man she married in 2005.
In fact, Dina has kept a secret that dates back to last fall regarding the status of her marriage. She said, "…I have been separated since October."
Manzo continued, "...my heart hurts but Tommy and I will always share a very special love."
This proclamation was delivered via Twitter very early on Saturday morning, during which time the RHONJ player said, "So grateful for the support of my loved ones during this time, especially my spiritual friends. You know who u are xoxo. [sic]"
By way of background for those who don't follow the Bravo series that made Dina Manzo famous, she appeared on "RHONJ" with sister Caroline Manzo for two seasons. That sibling is married to Albert Manzo, who is Tommy's brother.
Meanwhile, Tommy did not show up on the small screen during Dina's "Real Housewives of New Jersey" run. Dina left "RHONJ" just short of two seasons because she did not get along with co-star Danielle Staub. However, Manzo returned during season 4 to have friend Teresa Giudice's back.
Talk about a soap opera. And now there's a real life extension to this "RHONJ" star's story as Dina Manzo officially splits from her husband, making her no longer a housewife or even a wife, for that matter.
