Joe Giudice’s court date is coming up quick. The husband of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is due in court on April 1.
In June 2010, Joe Giudice took his brother, Pietro Giudice’s identity in order to get a driver’s license. Giudice’s own driver’s license was suspended after a DUI charge in January 2010.
Joe Giudice was arrested and charged with fraud. According to Giudice’s lawyer Miles Feinstein stated that Giudice’s wife, Teresa will be by his side in court.
Feinstein said, “Teresa could be the star witness if we need to call her. And even if she doesn’t testify she will be there every day for him because she completely supports him. She wants Joe to win this case.”
Prosecutors offered Joe Giudice a plea bargain, however Feinstein revealed that they have turned down the offer. “Nothing that they have offered has been acceptable to my client. We’re going to trial.”
Viewers and fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey may be treated to glimpses of the proceedings. Teresa and Joe Giudice and all the other housewives are currently filming season five.
If convicted, Joe Giudice could be sentences to 10 years in prison.
