"RHONJ" star Caroline Manzo is hanging up her drama shoes. The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star will not be returning to the Bravo show for its sixth season. On Sept. 27, Us Weekly confirmed the news which devastated fans of the straight talking mom of three. However, with her spinoff show coming to a time slot near you, Manzo won't really be gone.
"Following the matriarch's role as 'ringleader of the crazy circus that is her Italian family,' the series will feature husband Albert, grown kids Albie, Chris and Lauren and her sister Fran," Us Weekly reported.
Caroline Manzo and "RHONJ" go hand-in-hand as she has been a staple on the show since the very beginning. Sure, she has had her fair share of drama with the other housewives -- and her sister Dina (who previously left the show) -- but Mama Manzo has had enough and she is packing up and moving on. It's unclear whether or not she will make appearances here and there since all of the women are real-life friends and their lives cross cameras or not.
Even though Caroline is leaving that doesn't mean that she won't ever be back. It just means that she's taking a season off.
The "RHONJ" finale airs this Sunday night. Caroline is expected to make an official announcement about her departure on the reunion show (which may or may not be a 3-parter).
