Rhonda Vincent has just released a CD titled Only Me, where she shows off both her country and bluegrass musical personalities. Although she can sing country music with the best of them, including harmonizing with guys like Keith Urban and Alan Jackson, Vincent is a bluegrass girl at heart. She continues to pile up awards at such events as the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America awards, as well as a bevy of Grammy Award nominations.
She’s also one of the prettiest bluegrass gals you’ll ever want to see play, so if you’re stereotype of a bluegrass musician is some old guy plucking away on a banjo, seeing Vincent will quickly change your point of view. She not only plays expertly, but she also sings really well. So well, in fact, the iconic Dolly Parton asked her to sing her classic “Jolene” right there at Dollywood.
