Many people in Rhode Island are wondering where Saturday's winning Powerball ticket was sold. There was one winner in the $336 jackpot drawing on February 11, 2012 but no one has come forward to claim their prize yet.
WPRI reporter Ted Nesi tweeted on Sunday that the Powerball ticket was sold at Eastside Marketplace in Providence, RI but on Monday WJAR 10 confirmed that the winning ticket was sold at the Bellvue Avenue Stop & Shop in Newport, RI.
The winning numbers on Feb 11 were 1, 10, 37, 52, 57, and the Powerball was 11. If the winner takes a lump sum payment, they will take home approximately $203,000,000.
There were ten winners who matched five numbers in the Powerball drawing on Feb 11. Those tickets are worth $1 million each and were purchased in CO, ID, LA, MN, MO, NY, OR, PA, SC, and WI.
Powerball is played in 42 states with drawings twice a week. Powerball winning numbers are drawn every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. ET. The next jackpot drawing is Wednesday, Feb 15 for approximately $40 million.
