Congratulations to the latest $336,400,000 Powerball winner! The Rhode Island Lottery sold the Powerball winning numbers of 1, 10, 37, 52, 57, with a Powerball number of 11, for the February 11, 2012 drawing.
According to Providence, Rhode Island news sources WPRI Eyewitness News, and Turn to 10 News, the massive $336,400,000 Powerball winning ticket was sold in Rhode Island.
In addition to the near record $336,400,000 jackpot, there were eleven (11) second-tier winners that matched five out of six Powerball winning numbers, but not the Powerball number for $1,000,000 each. The eleven Powerball winners bought their winning tickets in Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Wisconsin, with a multiple win in one of those states. Had any of the Powerball winners also purchased a Power Play ticket for this drawing, their prize would have been increased to $2,000,000.
Is the Powerball Winner from Rhode Island?
Including the Rhode Island Powerball winner—if indeed the lottery winner is a resident of Rhode Island—there was a total of 2,777,232 Powerball lottery winners for the February 11th drawing.
The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, February 15, 2012. The Powerball jackpot will start at a guaranteed minimum of $40,000,000 annuity. This is up from the original $20,000,000 grand prize since the new Powerball rules went into effect on January 15th.
