Living in the smallest state in the country has its advantages. One of those advantages is living in a state with medical marijuana protection for its citizens.

Currently, the only way to get a doctor’s recommendation in Rhode Island is from your private doctor. Once you have the completed application, simply return it to the state registry program with your $75 fee, and you’re set.

Recently, Rhode Island passed a compassion center bill which will allow for three compassion centers in the state. Once established, the state’s sick and dying will have access to their medical cannabis in controlled facilities. In the meantime, you can contact RIPAC for more information on the state’s medical marijuana program.
