On Monday, filming wrapped for the independent feature Missing William. The film, which stars Brandon Routh (Superman Returns, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), was shot in Federal Hill, Cranston and Portsmouth.
Missing William, tells the story of a Rhode Island artist (played by Routh’s real-life wife Courtney Ford), who reconnects with childhood sweetheart (Routh) while caring for her brain-injured husband.
The film was written by Pawtucket native Dan McKinnon and directed by Australia’s Project Greenlight winner Kenn MacRae (The View from Greenhaven).
In an interview with GoLocalProv, McKinnon mentioned that the cast loved the Ocean State and could not get over “how beautiful Rhode Island is.”
Rounding out the cast are Spencer Grammer (Greek, As the World Turns) and Reid Scott (The Big C, My Boys).
