“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Yolanda Foster revealed last year that she had been diagnosed with lyme disease. If that wasn’t enough, she has been sharing some of the treatment options on the show while filming. She has also become an advocate for lyme disease, because she has such a big platform for sharing her story. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report published on Jan. 16, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Yolanda Foster is now revealing that her lyme disease was close to making her crazy.

And it sounds like she is also trying a new treatment option, which is rather drastic. “Every day I’m fighting for my life,” the reality star has revealed. “For the past year I’ve felt like I was in prison in my head. I had such severe neurological Lyme disease, it shut down the function of my left frontal lobe,” Yolanda continued. “I couldn’t write, I couldn’t read — I was in bed for eight months staring at the ceiling.”

One can imagine she wanted to try something new to get treated. Last year, she learned her brain function was down to a staggering 20 percent. A doctor recommended a special clinical trial, that used electroshock therapy to reactivate parts of the brain. It sounds scary, but it sounds like it worked for her. “I started to think I was going insane,” Yolanda recalls of her life before the treatment. “There were times I felt I couldn’t live another day this sick.”

Do you think that she is brave to try these new things?
