Ryan Allen Carrillo and Andrew Gruver are suing “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Vanderpump and her husband Ken Todd. The accusations leveled against them, and their producer, Elie Samaha, is fraud, deceit, intentional interference with a contract, violation of competition law and breach of contract. They filed a court claim in the Los Angeles Superior Court on August 14, 2013.
According to Radar One, Ryan and Andrew were making plans to open an establishment called, Bar Varsity since 2009. It was going to be a sports-themed gay bar and restaurant. Elie agreed to invest in the venture, but wanted them to open the bar in Java Detour on Santa Monica Blvd., because he owned the property and thought it would be a better location.
Allegedly, Elie agreed to pay the monthly rent of $4,000. Then, after they had all the necessary permits, Elie would also give them a lump sum of $500,000. However, the payments never came through, and this caused the other potential investors to back away from the project.
Ryan and Andrew didn’t know that the property went to Lisa and Ken until February. A post at the location of their future bar had a sign that said this was the future home for the P.U.M.P. Lounge.
"Hollywood Housewife of Beverly Hills” Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd had this to say in their defense, "We had no prior knowledge of Ryan Carrillo and Andrew Gruver or their claim. We took the lease in good faith seven months ago and all of our applications and notices have been posted publicly. Any issue will be between them and the property owner."
