‘RHOBH’ star Brandi Glanville reunites with her dad after months of estrangement

Brandi Glanville is in make-up mode. One week after the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star called a truce with co-star Joyce Giraud, she patched things up with her estranged father.

On the Jan. 20 episode of the Bravo reality show, Glanville invited her family to a book signing in her hometown of Sacramento, but unfortunately her father didn’t like how he was portrayed in his daughter’s bestselling book, Drinking and Tweeting: And Other Brandi Blunders.

"I said he was a drug dealer,” the 40-year-old reality star explained to co-star Lisa Vanderpump. “He was a marijuana grower and distributor. I haven't talked to him in months. He won't even answer my texts."

The TV family reunion was awkward at first; Glanville told her dad “Happy Birthday and “I love you” multiple times before he finally returned the sentiment. In the end, Guy awkwardly said, "My name's Guy … I'm glad I came. I came for your mom. And we will go forward. And the outfit looks really good on you."

Glanville’s “RHOBH” co-stars reacted to the reunion via their Bravo blogs.

Joyce Giraud wrote: “I really liked seeing Brandi fix things with her father, because life is so short that we can't waste time being upset with the people we love.”

And Carlton Gebbia added: “It was nice seeing Brandi with her book signing in Sacramento with the support of Yolanda and her family. Although I don't always agree with some of the things she says I do think Brandi has a good heart and it was lovely seeing her reuniting with her Dad.”

In an interview last year with Sactown magazine, Glanville praised her parents’ work ethic. “[My dad] doesn’t like that word, ‘dealer,’” she said. “He was a distributor. He grew [marijuana] in our backyard and gave it to the dealers to deal. It was a means to an end and a way to make ends meet. We had a lot of bills and there were always a lot of financial issues. [My parents] sent us to private schools … because other schools around us were dangerous. They were the hardest-working people I knew. My dad had three jobs. He was a janitor, he worked at the gas station and at a grocery store. My mom was a housekeeper. I used to clean houses with her in the summers during high school. I had a very humble but great upbringing. “

“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs on Mondays at 8:00 PM ET on Bravo.
