'RHOA' star Phaedra Parks plans to divorce Apollo Nida

It looks like Apollo Nida was right when he said he didn't expect his marriage to Phaedra Parks to last through his prison sentence. The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star is already looking to divorce Apollo and move on with her life. The Guardian Liberty Voice reported on Thursday that Phaedra Parks' divorce plans are all about money.

In addition to Apollo's eight year prison sentence, he has also been ordered to pay $1.9 million in restitution for his money laundering and fraud convictions. The payments would be roughly $100,000 a year for 20 years and if married, Phaedra would be responsible for part of that. It's looking like Phaedra wants no part of that and she plans to divorce Apollo in order to protect her money.

This isn't Apollo's first time in prison either. He served five years in prison prior to their marriage for similar crimes from 2004 to 2009. This time he just got busted doing a whole lot more. Apollo's sentence was supposed to be in the 30 year range considering his prior felonies and the extent of his crimes. Gayla St. Julien, Apollo's accomplice in the money laundering scheme, was sentenced to just over five years.

Several sources have said that the drastic reduction in Apollo Nida's prison sentence is all due to the fact that he snitched. Apollo even admitted to that and compared his sentence and deal with that of fellow Atlanta resident T.I., who immediately and very effectively, warned Apollo not to compare himself to the rapper ever again. Apollo complied and even deleted the offensive tweet. It has also been reported that Apollo's reduced prison time was due to snitching on Atlanta law enforcement officers who were in on the scheme with him, including his own parole officer. When all is said and done, Apollo Nida better move away from Georgia.

Season 7 of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" just wrapped shooting. Both Phaedra and Apollo are on it although it has been reported that they are in limited scenes together. Apollo is still upset that Phaedra skipped his sentencing and he's been pretty vocal about it. The next season of "RHOA" should be pretty interesting to see the dynamic between them. Do you plan on tuning in?
