“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks has been working very hard for what she has, including her law career, her growing family and a supportive husband. And it sounds like her way of sharing this hard-working attitude is not one that many appreciate. On the show this week, she made a comment that has created some harsh comments on social media. According to a new Bravo blog published on Nov. 4, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Phaedra Parks is now revealing that she didn’t mean to be mean or rude when she made an odd comment on the show.
She decided to address this issue in her blog. “And, of course, what would our show be without a series of new dramas, controversies, and scandals?! I would be remiss if I did not address the comment I made during last night’s episode about “working like a Hebrew slave,” to which I understand that some people took issue,” she reveals. Perhaps she didn’t exactly think that the comment was so bad when she said it, but perhaps people were reaching out to her on Twitter as the episode was airing to let her know it was offensive.
“Let me first say that the statement was not in any way meant to be derogatory or disrespectful to any culture. It is a description that is commonly used in reference to the requirement of working long, merciless hours without any end in sight,” she revealed. Even though she didn’t exactly apologize for the comment, she did say that she didn’t mean for it to be derogative.
