‘RHOA’ star NeNe Leakes didn’t fight Marlo because of her son

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes got in an argument with Marlo Hampton at Cynthia Bailey’s sporting day, the Bailey Bowl, but she didn’t fight back. She did throw a bottle at Marlo, but she didn’t push back when Marlo and Kenya charged at her. And now, she is opening up about why she walked away. According to a new Bravo report published on Feb. 24, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes is now revealing that she didn’t fight Marlo on the show because her son was at the sporting event where they had their fight.

“Look, there's a lot I could say, but instead I'll just say this: Kandi, you have never seen me walk away from a fight and you have never seen me physically fight either have you? My son was at this event, and as much as I would like to be Mama Joyce and take my shoe off and hit somebody or drag someone down the street, I would never stoop so low to the gutter with my son around, so you are right!” NeNe reveals about the fight. “I know how to respect myself enough to walk away from something that no longer serves me, helps me grow, or makes me happy. In life you have to pick your battles; everything isn't worth fighting for or worth the emotional investment.”

Of course, NeNe may not have charged at Kenya and Marlo at the fight, but she did throw a water bottle at them. And then she walked away. Throwing a water bottle isn't necessarily the most mature thing to do either. Do you think NeNe showed her son how to react by throwing the water bottle? Do you think her son was her excuse?
