‘RHOA’ star Kenya Moore responds to sketchy charity report

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore hosted a ball on the previous episode of the show and wanted to donate all of the money earned at the event to a charity, “Saving Our Daughters.” NeNe Leakes has been working with the charity for years, and she was invited to be the guest of honors. And after the episode aired, it wasn’t NeNe’s behavior that was making headlines. According to a new tweet released on Feb. 20, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore is now revealing that she made a mistake, trusting a charity and bringing it onto the show.

After the episode aired, a report surfaced about the charity. It was shown that the charity was not using its money for grants or help. The owner had been giving himself a large pay check and not spending the money like he was supposed to. And Kenya seems to be shocked at the news. “I blindly put my support and $ behind the wrong person, wrong charity for right cause. Pls vet charities 2 ensure they are certified first,” Kenya tweeted in response to the article about the charity losing its tax-exemption status with the IRS.

Apparently, the charity stopped filing tax returns back in 2009 and the owner has been keeping the majority of the money to himself. What do you think of Kenya speaking out against the charity?
