“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore may have come off as a strong character on the show and she may have rubbed people the wrong way. But yesterday, fans of the show learned that not only does she not have a relationship with her mother, but the one with her father is also a challenging one. According to a new Radar Online report published on Jan. 12, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kenya Moore is now getting support from fans after watching the scene with her father.

“There are some missing things in my life that I have unresolved that’s blocking me from moving forward in relationships and I think I need to resolve my issue with my mother,” she said. “You can forget that,” her dad bluntly answered. Kenya herself didn’t do anything to her mother to make her take such distance from her daughter. She was born out of wedlock in the 1970s, which was enough for her mother to disown her daughter.

“It was a stigma, especially in the black community,” she said. “I have never been able to get a straight answer from my dad as to why my mother, to this day, treats me like I don’t exist,” Kenya continued. It sounds like Kenya really wants to find peace with her mother but her father doesn’t see it as a possibility.

And as the scene was playing out, fans reached out to Kenya on Twitter to show support. “Almost all is forgiven, Kenya your parents are HORRIBLE! #RHOA,” wrote one person, while another added, “No wonder this poor child is so messed up, her parents are nuts, both of them, smdh Thank god for grandmoms.” One person questioned the parenting, adding, “Damn both Kenya's parents are mean. How can u treat ur child like that?”

Do you see Kenya in a different light now?
