Anyone who watches “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” knows NeNe Leakes “loves her gays”, but co-star Kenya Moore is spinning a different tune. According to Radar Online one Feb. 10, Kenya appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” with host Andy Cohen and accuses Leakes of gay bashing.

If there wasn’t already friction between the two already, Moore threw more fuel on the fire accusing Leakes of being responsible for the brawl that took place in Sunday’s episode in which her assistant Brandon DeShazer got beaten up by Phaedra Parks’ husband, Apollo Nida.

Moore said she was more disgusted about remarks Leakes made about DeShazer, who is a gay man. She told Cohen on the show that her cast mate went too far by using a gay slur.

“I was really disgusted by that: It was really disgusting to watch someone that’s built her entire career off of copying gay men’s lingo for her to make such defamatory and humiliating remarks. I think it was uncalled for and it’s no place to gay bash. We’re a show that loves gay people, obviously. And some of my best friends are gay.”

Kenya Moore was adamant on blaming Neke Leakes for the entire incident, even though she played her own part in the brawl. One thing she is correct about is that there is a representation of gays on the show, even though they are stereotyped heavenly.

NeNe’s description of Brandon definitely raised eyebrows, but she has had roles on a gay comedy series, “The New Normal”, and makes appearances on “Glee”. She also has close friendships with openly gay men, like producer Ryan Murphy. So if anyone knows a thing about gay bashing, it is NeNe Leakes. But in bashing Brandon DeShazer as an individual, she may have gone too far in offending the gay community.
