Could Kandi Burruss' mom, Mama Joyce, be getting her own spin-off show? Possibly. In an interview with Wetpaint Entertainment, posted on Monday, June 2, the controversial mom hinted that viewers may very well see her on another show besides "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."
When asked about the rumors that she'll be starring in a reality show with other famous Atlanta reality moms, a show that'll be produced by Tiny Harris, Mama Joyce admitted that she has been offered the opportunity. She said that while she's been approached about it, she hasn't signed anything yet. As for why not, she said that she's "open and seeing what's the best." Perhaps she's holding out for more money?
Mama Joyce knows Tiny quite well as Tiny was a member of the R&B group Xscape with her daughter Kandi. Kandi and Tiny have remained close, with Tiny even taking part in Kandi's pre-wedding festivities and attending her wedding to Todd Tucker in early April. Tiny, now the wife of rapper of T.I., has experience in reality TV herself as she has been the star of her own VH1 reality show, "T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle," for several seasons now.
Mama Joyce is certainly looking to increase her fame beyond the confines of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta." She also revealed that she has a new management team and a website that's in the works. The website makes clear that Mama Joyce certainly thinks that she's a star in her own right, as the homepage shows her holding up a peach, without any of the Atlanta housewives around, while looking glamorous and happy.
Mama Joyce also revealed that she's writing a memoir about her life as a single parent. She admitted that she hasn't spoken with daughter Kandi Burruss about the book yet. Perhaps their fighting over what she includes in the book will be a storyline for season seven of the show?
