“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss may have sued Kim Zolciak for the song that she created for Kim on a previous season of the show, but Kim fought back, saying that the song was originally one that she wrote. According to a new US Weekly report published on Oct. 16, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burruss is now revealing that Kim hasn’t exactly won the lawsuit as she is telling people.
Earlier this week, the judge sided with Kim in the lawsuit, meaning Kim felt on the top of the world. However, just because Kim is saying that she has won the lawsuit doesn’t mean anything, according to Burruss. In fact, she thinks that it is just the beginning.
"Kim really didn't win. That was just one level of it," she explains. "Now it goes back to other levels of the court and it's still going on." Burruss sued Zolciak earlier this year for profits made from the sale of the song, claiming the track was sold "without [the] plaintiffs' authorization, license or consent." Kim believed that the lawsuit was only created to promote her new show, “The Kandi Factory.” That show has since been cancelled.
But Burruss doesn’t see it as being over. "It's just the principal of it at this point," she has revealed. "It's not about the money. I'm doing great otherwise. It's all just silly. It's not a big deal to me. I've got my daughter and my fiance and am working on new music and a Broadway show that I will star in! So it's all good."
What do you think of this lawsuit? Why do you think Kandi is pursuing it if it isn’t important to her?
