“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida has been making headlines this weekend, as he was supposedly arrested and charged with fraud and identity theft. He surrendered in Atlanta, even though he had been in New York this week, filming "Watch What Happens Live." But his wife has yet to say anything about the weekend's charges. According to a new tweet released on Jan. 25, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Apollo Nida is now responding to claims that he has been charged with fraud.

The original report claims that Apollo had committing major bank fraud since he was originally released from jail in 2009. Apparently, the paychecks from Bravo were not enough for him. He is being accused of continuing his criminal behavior after being release from jail, as several businesses were opened under a fake name. He is being charged with fraud and identity theft.

Apollo hasn’t released an official statement, but he did tweet some things on Twitter. “Dumb Azz I wasn't home in 2008,” he revealed, adding, “I was in prison in 2008.” However the article talks about actions after he was released, not activities in 2008. And it sounds like some of his followers support him. “Please don't reply to tweets about ur past or present. They are using you for entertainment. Lay low right now and chill,” one person wrote, but he replied, “ok but this is crazy.”

Do you think he should issue a statement?
