"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" season six cast will all return for the show's upcoming seventh season. In addition, two new wives will be joining the cast.

On Thursday, Aug. 21, the season seven cast of the highly rated "Real Housewives" franchise was announced. And while it was expected that NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey, Phaedra Parks, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams would be back, the new additions were a bit of a surprise. Also a surprise was the announcement that the seventh season would be Leakes' last.

According to Us Weekly's Aug. 21 report, Demetria McKinney and Claudia Jordan will be joining the returning women as they embark on the latest installment of the reality series.

"Leakes will have new pals to socialize with before packing her bags," the magazine reported. "According to the insider, singer/actress McKinney has officially signed on to be a full-time Housewife. TV and radio personality Jordan -- who has appeared on the U.S. version of Deal or No Deal -- will have a supporting role."

In April 2014, on the sixth season of the show, Moore and Williams engaged in a physical altercation during the taping of the reunion. The fight made headlines for weeks after it happened and many fans wondered if Williams would be fired for reportedly initiating the fight. In the end, both parties were able to return.

No season seven premiere date was given for "The Real Housewives of Atlanta."
