'RHOA' rumors: Apollo Nida might not be only cast member going down for fraud

See also

It's no secret that Apollo Nida faces possible jail time after being charged with fraud and identity theft. On Feb. 17, Radar Online reported that Peter Thomas might also be involved in the scam with Nida.

"Real Housewives of Atlanta" is the most popular of the Real Housewives series' and an "RHOA" scandal would be epic.

Thomas' wife Cynthia Bailey has gone on record to deny any involvement for herself or her husband in any illegal dealings with Apollo Nida. Bailey told Jet Magazine, "I can’t speak on Apollo, but I can say that Peter Thomas doesn’t have anything to do with a bank fraud scandal to my knowledge."

That sounds sketchy in itself. He had no dealings to her knowledge? So is Cynthia Bailey defending her husband or protecting herself? The quote makes it sounds like she just wants the world to know that "if" something was going on, she had no part in it.

What do you think? Is Cynthia defending Peter Thomas or covering her own behind?
