Divorce is the furthest thing from Phaedra Parks' mind. Amidst rumors that she and husband Apollo Nida are headed to splitsville, she did an interview that proves otherwise. As reported by Bravo TV's The Dish on Thursday, May 1, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star actually wants to renew her marriage vows with Apollo.
She told In Touch magazine that her and Apollo's wedding in 2009 was a great time for them. She added that "at this point in [her] life, a vow renewal would be nice." As always, Phaedra didn't dwell on the unsavory things that are happening in her married life, namely that she's waiting to see whether her husband will be sent back to prison for reportedly committing bank fraud and identity theft. Instead, she simply said that the legal case has taught her "the challenges of being married, but also the joys of being married."
Phaedra's interview is a bit of a contrast to an interview that Apollo did recently. In his interview with Sister 2 Sister magazine, Apollo admitted that he's not sure whether the marriage will last. He even spoke about the marriage as if he already gave up, saying that no matter what happens, they have two beautiful kids together and that he only wishes her the best. Yet he also said that he loves her and that they have simply lost sight of the fact that they took an oath before God and have a family together.
Perhaps a vow renewal ceremony is just what they need to reignite their commitment to each other and to marriage? One thing's for certain - if Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida do renew their vows, that'll mean another fabulous and outrageous party, which Phaedra just loves to do, for "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" viewers. If Apollo isn't sent off to prison for too long of course.
