On the Sunday, Jan. 5 episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” Chuck Smith, who played defensive end for the Atlanta Falcons from 1992 until 1999, told Phaedra Parks that the two were never in a relationship, they never dated and they were “the first version of friends with benefits.” Chuck Smith, Phaedra Parks and co-star NeNe Leakes are all from Athens, Ga., and traveled together to speak at the Boys and Girls Club in their hometown.

Parks, who is a prominent Atlanta attorney, insisted that the couple had been out on dates and indeed were boyfriend and girlfriend. Smith told Parks she was just one of many that, as a young millionaire in Atlanta, he used for sex. He also admitted that Phaedra’s co-star Kandi Burruss was also one of the ladies he “stashed away”.

Chuck trashed Phaedra, but was a little kinder when speaking about Kandi Burruss. Though he did say that while he was “kicking it” with Phaedra and Kandi at the same time, Kandi was “messing with multiple men.”

“I made Kandi think she was special, no question. I lied to her. I was a big homie for a lot of people, “ Smith told Parks. While in the car Smith did admit to Leakes that he and Parks slept together. Phaedra Parks blew off Chuck Smith’s comments saying he is a jerk who is sorry that her get away because she is successful and has everything he ever wanted. Smith is married to an acquaintance of NeNe Leakes, Mynique Smith.
