Phaedra Parks' husband, Apollo Nida, has been charged with bank fraud and identity theft according to Access Atlanta. "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star and her husband will be having a tough couple of months as Nida finds himself facing these very serious charges in court.

According to the affidavit, Nida has made fake companies and opened fake bank accounts among other things. If convicted on any of the charges brought against him, he will undoubtedly be sent to jail. It's unclear what the most severe punishment will be, but he will likely learn that on his Feb. 12 court date.

Phaedra Parks married Apollo Nida in 2009 and the couple have two children together. Interestingly enough, Parks works as an attorney -- but it's unclear if she will be able to help her husband in this case. Nida is no stranger to this kind of funny business -- which evidently wasn't a red flag for Phaedra. Nida was convicted of breaking federal racketeering laws related to auto title fraud and spent about five years in prison. He was released in 2009.

This isn't the first time that a "Real Housewives" star has gotten into serious legal trouble. Joe and Teresa Giudice from "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" are facing multiple counts of fraud charges. Their trial(s) are slated for next month.
