Kenya had the surgery Friday after being told by doctors that removing the tumors, which were discovered during an ultrasound, would increase her chances of a successful surgery. Sources told TMZ that once Kenya has healed from the surgery, she'll start in vitro treatments so that she can get pregnant this year.

Kenya isn't the only housewife to have surgery to remove fibrods. Her "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" co-star Cynthia Bailey had surgery to remove fibrods from her uterus as well, which viewers saw in the beginning of the current season. During an appearance on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live," Cynthia revealed that, besides Kenya, Kandi Burruss and Porsha Stewart also suffered from the condition, which prompted Andy to make the quip, “It’s like the real fibroids of Atlanta!”
