One situation that is really heating up on this season’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta is the feud between Kandi Burruss, her mother, known as Mama Joyce, and the elder woman’s dislike for her daughter’s fiancé.
Todd Tucker isn’t the first fiancé that Mama Joyce hasn’t liked. But Kandi’s former fiancée died, and now Todd is at the center of the triangle (or rectangle, as it were) between Kandi, Mama Joyce and Kandi’s long time friend.
Mama Joyce claimed that that ‘everybody’ says Kandi’s assistant and friend Carmen was messing around with Todd, however, Carmen denied the accusations.
“She’s always wanted everything you had since you all were 12 or 13, and nothing’s changed. Including wanting Todd,” Mama Joyce claimed, calling Carmen someone who hangs around to get Kandi’s castoffs, like shoes and hair.
Meanwhile, on the same above linked-to page, Kandi blames Wendy Williams for constantly attacking her relationship, being the first one to call Todd an opportunist – and calling for Wendy to be more open about her own marriage troubles, failures and things that Kandi said were similar to her situation.
Indeed. We may love Wendy, but we don’t hear her delving too much into the reported adultery that marred her marriage as much as we hear the popular talk show host chronicling the perceived motives of others.
