It looks like Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida might be headed for divorce. The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" reality couple have not been acting too close lately. Phaedra skipped out on husband Apollo's sentencing hearing and he doesn't sound too pleased about it. According to US Magazine on Friday, Apollo has been talking about the state of his marriage and he doesn't sound very optimistic.
Apollo is headed to prison on an eight year sentence for recent fraud and identity theft convictions and it doesn't look like Phaedra wants anything to do with it. While Apollo was going through the sentencing process, rumor had it that Phaedra was vacationing in Cancun for Fantasia Barrino's birthday.
Apparently now that Apollo has been caught and will be headed to prison for his fraud scheme, Phaedra is embarrassed and doesn't want to stand by him. Funny how she bails now because Apollo's partner is all this mess, Gayla St. Julien already implicated Phaedra in a letter she wrote earlier this year. She states that Phaedra knew all about the plan and that they were supposed to protect each other's spouses. So is Phaedra distancing herself because she is embarrassed or because she doesn't want to end up in prison with them?
In any case, the "Real Housewives of Atlanta" couple may soon be splitting up. In a recent interview with Atlanta radio station B100, Apollo was asked if he thought their marriage would survive his prison sentence. He very simply responded with, "I doubt it." Then he said, "I mean, my wife didn't even f--king show up for my sentencing. I'm still salty about that."
Apollo Nida is fed up with the lack of support from his wife Phaedra Parks and it doesn't sound like he really cares about their marriage anymore. If she did know about Apollo's illegal business and turned her back on him after he got caught, that is pretty bad.
Phaedra Parks' contract has been renewed for the next season of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" and they are sure to not miss an opportunity to play out a possible Phaedra Parks divorce drama. Fans surely haven't heard the end of this at all.
