Cynthia Bailey has some strong advice for Kandi Burruss. Cynthia believes that her "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" co-star needs to stand up for herself when it comes to her mom, Mama Joyce. In a Wetpaint Entertainment article posted on Wednesday, Dec. 4, Cynthia said that Kandi needs to demand respect.
"Kandi’s the only person who can turn this situation around. She has to decide to command the same respect from her mother that she gives to her mother. Kandi’s not a child, she’s a grown woman who makes responsible choices. And I just hope Miss Joyce sees that and eventually gives Kandi the same respect Kandi gives to her," Cynthia said.
While some of Kandi Burruss' "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" fans and co-stars may believe that she's too soft with Mama Joyce, Kandi wrote on her latest Bravo blog entry that she has no problem standing up for herself.
"Everyone says stand up to your mama and blah, blah, blah, but believe it or not I do speak my mind to my mother. I just don’t say it in some crazy disrespectful way, because she is my mother. So to everyone who is screaming at me through the TV screen to 'do something about my mom,' I’m not sure exactly what you expect me to do...I don’t believe in cutting off your relationship with your mom. So for now I’m just hoping that over time things will work out for the best," she wrote.
