Reynolds High School shooting in Troutdale, OR leaves one of three shooters dead

There was a shooting shortly after 8 a.m. at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Oregon on Tuesday morning. One of several shooters in the incident is now deceased as well as a student at the student. One staff member was injured as well. Officials with the local law enforcers say that there is no longer an active threat to the students or faculty and staff. Persons have been allowed back into the building following the incident and the lockdown of the premises which followed the shooting. There is no report as to how many people may have been injured in the shooting incident, according to Fox News on Tuesday.

It is also being reported that three shooters entered the school, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s office. A second shooter was captured sometime later at a nearby church. There is no word on the capture of the third shooter.

According to KATU-TV, there was a large police presence at the school following the initial reports of the shooting. Police surrounded the school with guns drawn. Also at the school, a SWAT team and FBI agents were called in. At one point, a large group of students were taken out of the school building with their hands behind their heads. The television source also asserts that parents were told to wait at the Cherry Park Safeway store at 2501 SW Cherry Park Road and not go near the school.

Reynolds High School is located in Troutdale which is a suburb of Portland, Oregon. The specific location is at 1698 SW Cherry Park Road. It is the only public high school in Troutdale and is in the Reynolds School District. It is reportedly one of the most populated high schools in the entire state of Oregon. Troutdale is a community to the northeast of Portland.
