CBS News is reporting a school shooting in Oregon, according to ABC News. Authorities say a gunman has opened fire at Reynolds High School in Troutdale, Ore., and there are injuries. Police and the SWAT team are at the scene. KATU, who is also live at the scene is monitoring the story on their livestream.
In an update from CBS News, the sheriff at the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office has stated that the Reynolds High School shooter is dead. Police have not identified the name of the shooter. USA Today is also reporting the death of one Reynolds High School student.
At least one student inside the school is said to be tweeting updates to reporters. Police were alerted that shots had been fired at the school located at 1698 SW Cherry Park Rd. Police were dispatched to the scene just aft 8 a.m. According to witnesses at the scene, the gunman was quickly surrounded and killed. Students were quickly evacuated and led from the building safely. Parents and students are meeting at the Troutdale Fred Meyer or Cherry Wood Safeway location.
