'Rewrapped' has to recreate Pepperidge Farm Mint Milano Cookies

Last night's Food Network episode of “Rewrapped” gave three chefs a chance to recreate Pepperidge Farm Mint Milano Cookies, a decadent snack food; that lovers of delicacies have enjoyed for years. As Joey Fatone hosts the show, he introduces the chefs on this episode titled, “Milano, Milano! I Love You!” What is your favorite flavor of these delicious cookies?

The chefs competing tonight are; Francesco Guerrieri, owner and bakery chef for Francesco’s Bakery in Long Island, N.Y. Tanya Salagiannis is the co-owner of Sweet Surrender Bake House in Levittown, N.Y. and Johnny Manganiotis, owner & founder of Mr. Cupcakes in Saddle Brook, N.J.

The judges are; head judge and snack food King Marc Summers, president of Pepperidge Farms, Irene Chang Britt and cookbook author and pastry chef, Jenny McCoy.

For the first round, the chefs had to recreate those delicious cookies. As the chefs feverishly work to recreate those cookies, the oven is not cooperating with either chef, as only Francesco’s cookies have the delicate brown color.

Johnny scored 19, Tanya scored 15 and Francesco scored 22.

This innovate challenge was based on taste, appearance and creativity using the cookies. Johnny decided to make a Mint Milano Parfait. Tanya made Mint Milano Lamb Chops with mint couscous. Francesco made a Chocolate Mint Baked Pear in a Ginger Snap Cup.

The judges gave Francesco a score of 22. Tanya’s lamb chops got a score of 20, and Johnny received a score of 18 and Francesco won with a score of 44, a year’s supply of Pepperidge Farms Mint Milano Cookies and the title of Rewrapped Champion on this episode of “Rewrapped.”
