Tonight's Food Network episode of “Rewrapped” gave three chefs a chance to recreate Entenmann’s Original Recipe Chocolate-Chip Cookies, a staple of food shelves everywhere, Is there anyone out there who has never tasted these treats? As Joey Fatone hosts the show, he introduces the chefs on this episode titled, “Let’s Get Ready to Crumble!”
The chefs competing tonight are; Chris Paseka, owner of Sugar Rush in Red Bank, N.J., his partner in the bakery and in life, Jesse Bello and Shauna Sever, cookbook author and food blogger.
The judges are; head judge and snack food King Marc Summers, Entenmann’s director of marketing, Maureen Sticco and cookbook author and pastry chef, Jenny McCoy.
For the first round, the chefs had to recreate those delicious cookies and will be judged on taste and appearance. Shauna scored 17; Jesse scored 19 and Chris scored 23.
The innovate challenge was based on taste, appearance and creativity using the cookies. Chris made a Sweet & Spicy Meatball Sammy with Chocolate Chipotle Aioli. Shauna made Cookie Sponge Cake with Milk Semifreddo. Jesse made Cookie Bacon Quiche with Chocolate Parmesan Home Fries.
The judges gave Jesse a score of 14; Shauna received 21 and Chris received 26 for a total of 49, a year’s supply of Entenmann’s Chocolate-Chip Cookies and the title of Rewrapped Champion on this episode of “Rewrapped.”
