The Woodstock Police Department needs assistance in locating the suspects responsible for robbing the Towne Lake Play N Trade last Sunday.
At around 11:40 a.m. on Sunday, a fire started just a few minutes after the robbery of Towne Lake's Play N Trade off of Eagle Drive. When authorities arrived, they were informed by store employees that a male brandishing a gun walked into the store and forced them to go to the back room. While the employees were sequestered, the suspect robbed the store. He then returned to the employees and told them to run out of the store.
As the employees ran, the small fire started inside the store. The store manager, Troy Brazelton, remained in the store and received second and third-degree burns. He was taken to Grady's Burn Unit Center where he was listed in stable condition.
Both cash and merchandise were taken, yet the amount has not been specified.
According to police, at least three suspects, all male, were involved in the robbery, described as:
- A white male in his teens to early 20s, with brown hair and a medium build.
- A white male between the ages of 40 to 50, with a medium to large build and a full beard.
- An additional white male with an unknown description.
Woodstock Police spokesperson Brittany Duncan believes that the suspects are more than likely residents of Woodstock and still in the area.
Anyone with any information is urged to call the Georgia Arson HOTLINE at 1-800-282-5804. A $10,000 reward is being offered to anyone who provides information that will lead to the arrest and the conviction of the suspects.
