BREAKING NEWS:
The Animal Welfare League has made an official statement today:
They are in dire need of monetary funding after the recent theft and vandalism of the AWL intake facility. The theft and vandalism has resulted in approximately $25,000 in losses, money that was meant to care for the countless numbers of homeless animals that the facility rescues.
Various news reports have been issued covering the statement, including WGN Chicago.
According to WGN, and the statement, the Humane Society Of The United States is offering a $2,500 reward.
The award money will be offered for information of the theft at the intake facility last week.
More than 100 animals are at the facility, that has no windows. Fans and a portable air conditioner are helping to curb the heat.
